1 August 2000

Trend Micro provides antivirus and content filtering products to support Microsoft's Enterprise Firewall and Web Cache Server.
SecureData, an company and the exclusive sub-Saharan distributors for Trend Micro, a leading provider of Internet content security products, today announced its support of Microsoft's Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2000 with updated releases of its gateway virus protection software and Internet access management tool. InterScan VirusWall for Windows NT v5.0 and InterScan WebManager v3.0 have been designed to run with ISA Server 2000, enabling customers to protect against viruses and other malicious Internet content.
Microsoft's Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2000 is an enterprise firewall and Web cache server that provides controlled, secure and fast Internet access for any organisation. ISA Server 2000 brings enhanced network-security features and provides a high-performance Web cache to accelerate access to the Internet. Working with Microsoft, Trend Micro has developed new versions of InterScan VirusWall and WebManager to offer more complete Internet content security functions to ISA Server 2000 users.
Internet content security incorporates both active content such as viruses, Trojans, worms, and malicious ActiveX and Java applets, and passive content consisting of offensive or inappropriate e-mails, spam and excessive use of network bandwidth. Trend Micro develops products designed to fight both active and passive content threats.
"We are very pleased when leaders in their field such as Trend Micro support our products," said Nevet Basker, Business Development Manager for ISA Server 2000 at Microsoft. "With additional security and management products available, ISA Server 2000 system administrators can create a safer and more productive computing environment."
The new versions of InterScan VirusWall for Windows NT and InterScan WebManager will be available to coincide with the availability of ISA Server 2000 from Microsoft.
