Unisys has been cited as a Leader in the June 2007 Forrester Wave report, "Global IT Infrastructure Outsourcing, Q2 2007." Unisys was among the select IT services companies that Forrester invited to participate in the report. Unisys received perfect scores in the crucial client reference categories.
The report evaluates the capabilities of 19 organisations - 'only the strongest global firms with a track record of success in the infrastructure space'. The research assessed provider capabilities and presence in key infrastructure management services areas: help desk, data centre, managed network, deskside/on-site support, desktop management and mainframes. Current offering, strategy and market presence were the key categories in which each provider was evaluated.
The research included input from multiple reference customers for each provider on key areas of customer satisfaction - implementation, account management, service quality and general satisfaction.
The Forrester research report notes that Unisys has "excellent infrastructure capability as evidenced by topflight reference customer scores". Unisys received a perfect score of 5.00 in those four key customer satisfaction categories - one of only three providers to receive that across-the-board rating.
The research report also spotlighted the value of Unisys global sourcing and services capability: "With 25 Managed Services Centres globally, including new facilities in India, China, Hungary, Brazil, and Colombia, Unisys is clearly betting the future on the success of its global delivery model." It later states that Unisys "has the broad capability to deliver on the promise of global delivery."
The Unisys 3D Visible Enterprise (3D-VE) approach is key for delivering the benefits of outsourcing solutions, such as those which the Forrester Wave report notes as "core to the Unisys value proposition." The key attribute the research report cites is "risk management, including mapping, analysis and modelling for the enterprise." Unisys outsourcing solutions driven by the 3D-VE approach enable a client to see and then act on cause-effect relationships among business strategy, processes and IT requirements throughout the entire enterprise. That visibility enables informed decisions and greater confidence and helps avoid unforeseen impacts and costs that can block effective execution.
