RangeGate SA, Datatec's mobile solutions subsidiary, has been named as 2002's most admired mobile solutions provider in a survey of South Africa's top 150 corporate IT users. RangeGate took top honours ahead of Hewlett- Packard and IBM. This long-established award programme, run by ComputerWeek Strategist magazine, recognises those who are setting the standard in terms of service and business benefits for their customers. Corporate IT users were asked to rate solution providers out of six on their consulting skills, quality of solution, being on time and on budget, and service levels. RangeGate's average score across the categories was 5,78, with second placed Hewlett-Packard recording 5,29.
Datatec executive director David Pfaff says RangeGate's success in developing mobile solutions that are highly rated by customers and users is a further demonstration of Datatec's strategic approach.
